This admittedly ridiculous excuse for a poem, was inspired by an article that crossed my desk today. It was about the other possible names that were considered for the original 7 dwarves… Grumpy, Sleepy, Dopey, Doc, Happy, Bashful,  and Sneezey.  There were originally 47.    My apologies. Z~

I wonder.

What if Mr. Disney had chosen different,

but equally descriptive names

for the original septet?

What about Baleful?

The sinister, psychic Dwarf?

Foreshadowing tragedy, ever threatening,

Would he have sold out the Princess, to the Queen?

Maybe if Soulful

Were allowed to bring his saxophone to work

Heigh-Ho would have been

a bit less dirge and a lot more groove.

Of course there are the twins

Hottsy and Tottsy who were obviously hanging

with Hickey and Chesty,

Never to be confused with Dumpy, Sweaty and Messy.

 **

While Grumpy proves little people

May also benefit from anger management skills,

He can’t be alone in his need for services.

I mean what about Moody,  Touchy,  Lazy and Lonely?

I know it may seem frivolous,

But these are the things

That keep me up at night.
