Sometimes finding something to say, anything at all is like trying to squeeze water from a stone! Espeacially when it is sometime in the middle of the night or early morning! 😉
Sometimes people are silent because they just don’t know what to say but doesn’t mean they have something bad to say but are holding it in. Or sometimes the opposite! 🙂
An interesting way to consider silence. Sometimes, though, silence is just…silence. In my Hub’s case, it’s processing time, trying to get the words he wants to come out just right. That’s not a bad thing.
Yes, and then there’s that. Which I also try SO hard to bear in mind, but often fail to do. But I wrote. An In Real Letter, explaining, which didn’t need explaining, I don’t think, but I did anyway 🙂

Perhaps, but the quality of the silence also counts, and how often it is used as a response.

Listening to silence is very hard for me…probably because my brain is loud and obnoxious.

Mine’s pretty shouty, too. Which doesn’t go well with silence

I think we all fail somewhat at enjoying silence. The TV is blaring, the music is playing, traffic is passing….whatever. Not much silence available.

All well and good if what you want is silence 🙂

Also true. I tend to get lost in my own tangles and stop considering other possibilities. Thanks 🙂

I feel ignored, but out loud. Sometimes. And then I think I’m wrong. I hope I’m wrong 🙂
You’re right tho.

I don’t mind silence, I enjoy it. Unless I am trying to take a yoga class, then forget it!! My head goes bananas LOL

In yoga?!?! Why?
We’re going to be trying classic pilates on Wednesday as a ‘Christmas treat’. I think my head will be going “owwww!!!”

I can’t keep my head “quiet or silent” during yoga for some reason. I am awful at it. Pilates so much more fun

True dat! That said, I haven’t tried yoga, but I think I’d just be terrible at it 😀

listening to silence is not easy because it falls to too much of our own interpretive faults yknow?
